SAM-e Complete
Mood enhancer

is involved in over 40 biochemical reactions in the body. SAM-e is involved in methylation in the body, which is critical in the manufacturing of many body components, such as brain neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine. SAM-e helps regulate these neurotransmitters, that affect our mood. SAM-e is also required for sulfur-containing compounds, such as glutathione, which is a powerful antioxidant in the body that helps fight off substances that
damage our cells, particularly in the liver. SAM-e is involved in maintaining and manufacturing cartilage components. Because of the different reactions SAM-e is involved, its benefits vary from joint and liver health, to mood enhancement. SAM-e is recommended to be part of a daily regimen for Mood/Emotional Well-Being, Bone/Joint Health.

SAM-e (s-adenosylmethionine) is a naturally occurring compound found in all living organisms. In humans, SAM-e is distributed throughout the body and is involved in many biochemical processes. Since significant amounts of SAM-e are not available through diet alone, the body is primarily responsible for producing its own SAM-e. Scientists know that SAM-e declines as people age and that certain groups of people, including those with low mood and liver conditions,
tend to have lower levels of SAM-e in their bodies.

Researchers studying the beneficial effects of SAM-e have identified the following benefits:

Mood Support - Enhances mood by promoting a healthy balance of neurotransmitters, dopamine and serotonin, which are part of overall healthy brain cell functions.

Joint Comfort - Promotes joint health by helping to maintain joint cartilage which naturally deteriorates with physical activity and age.

Liver Health - Helps support detoxification and overall healthy liver functions.

Brain Function - SAM-e supports brain function by its methylation effects. Methylation is the process by which a four atom appendage know as methyl group (unit of one carbon and three hydrogen atoms) is transferred from one molecule to another. Of all methyl-donating substances known in mammalian metabolism, SAM-e is the most important. The donation of methyl groups affects proper function of many metabolic processes including brain function, energy production and DNA metabolism. Neurotransmitters, substances involved in the brain's cell-to-cell communication, are the products of substances in mammalian methylation reactions. These compounds include L-dopa, dopamine, epinephrine and phospatidyl choline (a component of lecithen).

Energy Production - Methylation form SAM-e is critical for proper energy production as it converts guanidinoacetate to creatine. Creatine metabolizes to creatine phospate, which is important for recycling of ADP to ATP. Creatine maximizes physical performance, reduces exercise fatigue and improves recovery after exercise

Longevity - Methylation of DNA appears to be important in the prevention of DNA imperfections. The demethylation of DNA is considered to be a contributor to the aging process. Proper methylation through substances such as SAM-e positively influence longevity.

Because SAM-e is a highly reactive molecule, it is very fragile. It degrades rapidly under conditions of high heat and/or humidity. Improper handling of SAM-e can cause its degradation in a matter of hours, resulting in a loss of biological activity. This is why the manufacturing process for SAM-e is done under low temperature and low humidity, and the
table is enteric coated and blister-packed.

Pharmacokinetic studies show that oral supplementation of SAM-e is most effective when enteric-coated by special gastric fluid-resistant polymers. Enteric coating SAM-e results in maximum SAM-e levels in the bloodstream

SAM-e is the same form of SAM-e available and administered for over 20 years by doctors in Europe.
It is the only form of SAM-e studied in over two decades of research, as well as the most documented form in respected journals. Short and long-term studies have proven that SAM-e is a safe, non-toxic and efficacious products to support your health.

Suggested Use: Start with 1 tablet per day. The best time to take SAM-e is on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes before a meal. Clinical studies indicate that benefits are most likely evident after 7–14 days of supplementation. If benefits are not achieved within two weeks, you may require a higher level of supplementation. To determine the proper level of supplementation that works for you, gradually increase the number of tablets (maximum 1600 mg /day) until benefits are achieved.
